Oil Dipstick Problem
Hi, thanks in advance for taking the time to read this. I bought a 78 or 79 305 and I am in the process of putting the heads and exhaust manifolds onto the engine which are off of my 91 305, the problem that I ran into is that where the Oil Dipstick goes on the 78 305 the exhaust manifold off of my 91's 305 covers it so the mr gasket dipstick/tube I bought cause the engine didn't come with one will not fit. Is there something obvious that I am doing wrong? Have to get a different set of exhaust manifolds or headers? Special Dipstick/tube? The main thing I am trying to do is be able to use my stock exhaust? Anything that you guys can recommend would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Oil Dipstick Problem
okay i sorta get the point... your exhaust manifold blocks the hole right? cause 70's SBC have the driver side dipstick.. i dont know about a specail dipstick... but a tubing bender might work ...
