heater core hose relocation

there are 2 hoses coming from the front of my engine (one is hooked up to the intake manifold i think)that i need to relocate, if i can. both go into the firewall, so i assume it is for the heater. im cleaning up my engine bay, and im removing the AIR system, and now i have these two rubber hoses going over my left valve cover... if anyone can help me to relocate them or at least tell me what they do and are for it would be appreciated...thanks

Re: heater core hose relocation

They do go to the heater core.
You can just extend the hoses with couplers to get them out of the way. You could even just take the heater core out of the mix (no heat) and re-route. That'd be the cleanest.

Re: heater core hose relocation

if you rmeove them then you can use a regular old plumbing pipe plug to plug the hole in the waterpump

but how to plug off the radiator one is up to you

good luck
