Those heads should be fine for that lift on that cam. It's a generally mild lift and the 1.25 springs should hold to at least .500. Other heads with the same diameter spring are rated to .525, so you should be in the clear.

These are vortec heads though so just make sure you have an intake manifold that will match up.

Stock heads (especially Vortecs) are often limited to .480" lift or less due to retainer to guide clearance. .469" should be okay, but it's always a good idea to check each valve for travel.

I'm also not sure those the 981-16 springs will fit over stock guides. They may need to be cut (which should solve any potential lift problems).

I had to cut mine down when using those springs... i ran a cam without doing anything to the heads first that was around the 460-470 lift range and eventually it was destroyed because i didn't cut down the guides first like i should have..

i heard .470 lift with the stock small diameter springs... the stock vortech springs suck and u should purchase the higher lift from scoggin that are good for .525 with higher seat pressures and better springs as well. they are kinda expensive at 330-370$ a head, my dad just purchased these a few months back. upgrade to the scoggins they do all the machining and guess work for u.
