Removing Smog Pump for extra power

My smog pump locked up on my 1992 305tbi recently and I've decided to run the car without one. Is this a good idea or not? Also, I'm not using my A/C so I was wondering if anyone knew what size belt I need if I don't use either of these accessories? It uses a serpentine belt by the way.

A locked up pump is one of the better reasons for removing it. More power is one of thw worst.

Seach for smog pump delete for the rest of the info.
