Car will not run when it warms up
Car will not run when it warms up
I have been working through a ton of problems with my car since it has been reassembled. Most things I found answers or ideas of what to do on different posts. I am getting worn out at this point. I fit one thing and something else comes up. Anyways at this point I can go out and start the car cold and it runs pretty good overall. As the car gets hot it won't idle shakes and stalls.
I have good fuel pressure, vacuum gauge with engine cold runs 20 and steady. My base timing is set at 7 degrees. Something happens when the car gets warm.It acts like a terrible vacuum leak.If you rev it up get gets better but not right. I have never tried adjusting the idle control motor or the TPS. My throttle body is stock but I sent it out and had it bored out.It came back and looks great to me. What can be changing so much when it gets to a curtin temp. How do you set a TPS anyways. I have moved it around and see no difference in the way it runs. Where do I start now ???

try setting the idle speed. ground the conector undr the dash with a paper clip wait 30 sec for the iac to move the pintle back. then unplug the iac connector, remove the paper clip, start it up and adjust the screw to obtain abbout 500 rpm in nuetral or park. the plug everything back in. should probaly check the tps for a .54 volt too.
