I was thinking of putting a supercharger on my 87 Camaro RS with a V6 engine, is it a good idea? or a waste of time and money? would it mess up my engine? this is my first car restore I usually restore sportbikes, thanks.

 

If you're looking for more power just buy a 350 crate motor from g.m. or one of the other many engine providers out there. It'll cost about the same as the supercharger set up and you'll probably be happier. Of course, in 89 they ran a turbocharger set up on the trans am that was pretty close to the Buick GNX. Pretty sweet to be sure, but like I said, it all depends on what you want to spend and which way is cheaper. Most of the guys here are on a budget, so price and how long the car will be down are foremost in our minds.
