Cleaning up the engine bay while the motor's out

Id like to rip out all the FI wires, ac box, and anything else in the way. Are there any wires that I shouldnt cut that may seem ok to cut? Anything else I should do in there while the engine is out?

i wouldn't cut anything until you get the new motor in or...

i would pull the bulkheads and completely go through the harness even going as far to pull the ends out of the harness then retaping and covering it

but stay away from the oil pressure sender, coolant temp sender, altenator wiring, headlights, starter wires, turn signals,

do a search, i saw a really trick homemade ac delete box on here, made out of fiberglass, looked great

Re: Cleaning up the engine bay while the motor's out

Here is what i did to mine.

1 TBI harness was removed
2 Headlight harness was took out at the bulkhead, and I reloomed it and made it look better.
3 Im going carb so I dont need many wires, So im takin my other bulkhead connector and going thru it and taking out what i dont need.
4 Smoothed radiator overflow holes, and welded the washer tank holes shut
5 everything was removed and repainted or powdercoated.
6 AC delete box
7 Repainted the entire engine bay
8 Dropped K member Por 15ed it with new ball joints and Eibach pro kit springs.

Thats all I can think of at the moment.
