I think i broke my shifter! (automatic)
i removed the **** to put a new plate in , and i had put thew **** back on it doesnt switch out of park, except that it goes to reverse without pressing in the button, but will not move anywhere else.
help please

What new plate did you put in?
You could've broken your cable. Mine somehow got broken. Looked fine but didn't have the travel that it should've had.

Did you maybe break the plastic rod that goes down through the shifter that releases the lock when the button is pressed?
Give the shifter a little push forward, ill bet it will lock into park then
