97 vortec specs?
hey guys, my camaro has a 97 vortec motor in it that has been converted to carb. I was told it came out of a Hertz rental truck that was rolled. My main question is does anyone know what compression ratio came in these motors and is it a roller motor? Right now I cant see the engine casting number. It does have the 5.7L stamped in it and the heads are 906 vortecs.
also any recommendations for this motor? I was thinking hot cam.

forget the hot cam although it is a very good cam people seem to use the comp grinds more often... and have very good luck. but either way you may need to do some work on them to take that kind of lift... if it hasnt already been done
