Charcoal cannister delete?

Looking through my Service Manual, it looks pretty simple to delete. No adverse side effects of the SES light, trouble codes...nothing.

If it could effect an emissions test (I doubt it could), my #s in March were almost non-existent anyways, so I'm not worried about that.

Simple as plugging a couple of vacuum lines? Leave the electrical plug for the solenoid loose?

it may fail the visual part of the test, it depends on how close they look.
you would need a vented gas cap which may fail the gas cap test.
tie wrap the connector up so it doesn't get damaged.

It's not exactly out in the open anyways. I wonder if I either run the vent elsewhere, like through a tiny filter cap, or just use 2 different gas caps. My normal one, and the sealed one for test day?

I never used a vented gas cap when I've removed the canister from my cars...could this be causing a problem that I'm completely unaware of?
