Ive been having this problem with my 89. Sometimes when i put it in reverse soon after i start it up it will sometimes die and it also sometimes has a hesitation to it... Then also my check engine keeps popping on. So i was at this website (http://sethirdgen.org/dtc.htm) and decided i wasn't going to deal with it anymore id check for codes. Well i got a code 22. Which all it says is Throttle Position Sensor So... I'm not sure what i should be looking at. Am i looking to buy a new one? Or does that mean something else. I just need to be pointed in the right direction.

 

go to tech articles on this site shows how to set tps,this would be the best place start,hope this helps jimmy
