code 42 need help please
I have a 1991 z it has been giving me s**t all week last wk first it would die at 40 mph then battery went dead and wont hold charge now it wont start at all and it is giving a code 42 now my question is how do I fix it without rebuiling my motor or selling car any help would be GREATLY apperciated thanks

Code 42 means the computer isn't seeing the pulse inputs from the ignition module. Could be a bad module, bad distributor, or bad ECM wire or connection.

ok I had the module checked at oreilly and it tested good wheres the ecm wire I need to check and is there any way to check the dist.??

come on guys someone have any ideas for me??my car wont even start or hold a charge and the alt. is good.could it be the ignition coil??
