Hydraulic Roller Lifters?
Hydraulic Roller Lifters?
I have a hydraulic flat tappet cam. I was just wondering if I could use hydraulic roller lifters with that type of cam along with roller rocker arms? I was also wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of cam the 350 Blocks that GM Performance sells take? Any input would be appreciated!!!
Re: Hydraulic Roller Lifters?
No. Flat tappet cams take flat tappet lifters. Period. Roller rockers are OK regardless of what type of cam you are using, however.
GMPP sells quite a few different blocks. Can you be more specific?

Re: Hydraulic Roller Lifters?
I purchased it from Summit... Its a 1st Gen. style block so it has the 1 piece rear main seal and the 4 bolt main, the iron crank shaft, and Im unsure if it takes a the hydraulic flat tappet cam.

Re: Hydraulic Roller Lifters?
Cam type (hydraulic, roller, flat tappet, whatever) is not dependant upon the block. They make parts to put whatever form of SBC cam into whatever block.
