what do i get with a lunati voodoo (lun-60122)

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...2&autoview=sku

motor-355 4 bolt arp bolts, '94 lt1 crank and rods arp wave lock bolts, sealed power pistonshyper 2v reliefs, kenny dutwiler heads, edle rpm, 750dp holley, valve train will be up to par...

1 what kind of power band can i expect?
2 will this cam have a noticable "power on" feel to it?
3 summit lists rpm as 2400to6200, sound right?
4 think itd go higher, or should i go bigger?
5 should i go vic jr intake?
6 was gonna try gm roller lifters... any opinions\expirences?
7 i have 1.5 rr, what would it be worth going to 1.6 rr?
8 i feel safe spinning this bottom end to 6500\6800, is this ok?

thanks for any input, im looking for a cam to use...

btw only real changes to sig other than motor will be t56 & maybe 4.10 gear, will get slicks when t56 goes in...

You'd need retrofit rollers for that cam right? You sure you want to drop the cash for all that new valvetrain? New springs, new pushrods, retrofit rollers, etc etc...

I'd use a solid flat tappet if it were me, less stuff to change out, more bang/buck sorta thing. 227/234 -> 231/239 roller isn't a huge change there. I'd go to a 240/245 range solid flat tappet, if it were me. And yea, vic JR is probably a good bet.

It uses a super strong ramp rate, i'd leave the 1.5 full rollers in there.
It doesn't need the help of 1.6 rockers.

What's your current best timeslip?

Re: what do i get with a lunati voodoo (lun-60122)

the block is a 1pc roller motor, diff motor than in my sig. gonna do that to make the t56 swap bolt up...

with current sig set up minus the 9 inch, i have gone 8.8 @85mph & 2.1 60ft, need slicks... need more hp, dyno numbers showed 308rwhp375rwtq

i know the change from 227-234 to the 231-239 isnt much, but this is why im asking, sounds like i should go bigger...

new parts ill get new chromoley one piece push rods, new recomended springs, mabe new gm hyd roller lifters (i dont know what else to use)

Oops, 1pc roller motor, ok, roller cam and any ol' roller lifters will be fine.
The 60123 is a bit more aggressive, 243/251. Depends on the heads, and rear gears, and if it's race only or street. 243/251 would be a pain on the street, but if it's 90%+ race, and you use steep rear gears, and ~200cc heads, then it would probably work the best.
Are you sticking with the Trick flow heads? What size are they? Do they show good flow in the .550" range?

Re: what do i get with a lunati voodoo (lun-60122)

mid 250s intake and shy of 200 on exhaust, they are 195s and id really like to have them ported out, i thought about the 60123 but its duration looks big and i like to drive around in this thing, no trailers for me. it is a stick car so itd be a little better, but i need brakes...

how bout these comp cams, in between the two lunati cams.
294hr
288hr
the 60122 vs 294hr vs 288hr
what do you think my power gains from what i have now would be? 350rwhp?375rwhp?
think ill lose tq at all?
i feel the 288hr would be for me, i like the voodoo cause the one i have rocks, and the 294hr looks like the biggest id go, looks like itd suck to drive tho

just for my curiosity what kind of power and rpm would the 60123 produce in my 355, would def do 4.10s then ha!

just wanted to make sure, will my heads work? as far as i know the newer blocks still take old style heads...

You're right, the 294 would probably be a bit much in a 350, that you plan to drive on a semi regular basis on the street. The 288 is only 236/242, that should be quite drivable. I wouldn't expect huge gains here, you're going a few steps up on the cam, and swapping to roller, I wouldn't get too optimistic, maybe 20RWHP, 30 at the utmost.

Yea, those heads should be fine, some porting couldn't hurt of course. That'd give you more bang for the camshaft-buck there.
