HELP!! car runs really bad

Ok, i have an 1989 firebird that came with a 305 but the previous owner had a 350 from a van put into it. When i first got the car ( late January) it ran ok but not great. Until a couple weeks ago. It just started running super rough and stalling. It wasnt responding to the gas peddle almost at all... anyway i barely got the car home.

i figured i would start easy and replace the obvious things that i had been wanting to do and just hadnt had the time. first on the list Fuel filter. crawled under the car to find the lines almost rusted though... 60 dollars later i had replaced the filter and all three lines from the tank to about half way to the front of the car. the car ran better but was still stalling and backfiring.

The rpm at idle was going from 200 to about 1000. and would die if you put into gear. so i took the whole TBI system apart and cleaned everything. no noticable change. next thing i changed where spark plugs. ran better but still had the idle issue and the dieing in gear.

So i thought Idle Air control. changed that and that seemed to get rid most of the idling problem... but when it is first started the rpm will bounce until you give it gas. after you let off the idle will stay pretty steady. The car runs really hot. It is more drivealbe but it just doesnt accelerate good and when you really stomp the gas it coughs tries to die and then will takes off.

Ok, Sorry about the long post this has just has me stumped and is getting very annoying...
i dont like just throwing money at the problem and hope it fixes it. the fuel filter and plugs needed to be done and did make the car run better so they werent a waste... im thinking its a sensor but changing them all gets pricey real fast...

Ok here is a condensed list of things done.

IAC- replaced
TPS- checked believe is working ok
Fuel filter-new
TBI- cleaned
Plugs- Changed
ERG- valve vaccuum tested
vacuum lines- checked them pretty well

Possible problems...
MAP sensor- $70 bucks <--- the reason it hasnt been changed
might need to get that TPS sensor... 40 bucks >.<

Just tell me what you think..

Thanks
