help with 350 build and hp ranges
Im doing an enginge swap on my 87 z28 and ive been building a 350 for it. Im at the point where im trying to determine just how much power i want. Its going to be a street car that i might take to the strip some day if i get around to it. I want it to be able to run street tires and not have a problem getting traction but if i smash it i wanna spin tires. Some imput on hp ranges and some good head, cam, intake, and carb combos would be much appreciated. Thanks guys

A good cheeeep combo that seems to work REAL GOOD is flat-tops; Vortec heads with as little work as possible done to them, just new springs and a valve job if possible; a Comp XE262 or XE268 cam, or Lunati Voodoo 262; a Performer RPM; a Holley 750 manual secondary carb or a spreadbore 650 (list # 6210); and about a 2800 RPM stall converter. That's about 375-385 HP that you can drive to work dependably every day. Should cause enough of a traction problem that you'll want LCA reloc brackets.
