Threw a Code 35 today

Just started the car, so it was cold. Temp outside was about 70deg F. I was rolling the car at idle down a gravel alley and the SES came on.Ran the OBD code test and got""35. Idle speed can not be set to desired RPM "What causes this? What do I need to fix? Or is this just a freak one time thing? It's never happened before and nothing changed about the cars performance, no rough idle, no drop in the gauges, nothing....just the SES.Thanks guys!

Re: Threw a Code 35 today

the book says " code 35- idle speed control- tps sticking or misadjusted, poor electrical connection, open or short in circuit; defective IAC valve, defective ECM". my first suspects would be the IAC or the TPS. then i would check the electrical. ECM failure is unlikely but possible.
