Sure it will work... if you're looking to build a tractor motor or something.

Those pld generic cams are OK for a smogger 70s motor in otherwise bone stock condition, to give a little more pep. They are not going to set the world on fire. That particular one is a step above the "RV cam"; people usually call it the "mild cam".

It is not very well matched to TPI.

Get the right cam instead of the cheapest cam, or leave it alone. I'd suggest this one. It's a good match for what you've got: a bone stock TPI with stock programming.

well its not gonna be stock in the soon future. thats what i was getting to. what would be good for a ported/honed fuel injection system with a burned prom to fit it all

Same cam. Maybe since you have 3.27 gears, you could go the one step above the xe264hr... xe270hr I think is it, you'd borderline want a bigger converter then.
