How to Get to Thermostat on TPI ???

The intake plenium is directly above the thermostat housing, what is the trick to getting the housing off to change the thermostat, or what needs to come off in order to do so? Thanks
91 Corvette with TPI.

Er... it's been a while... but I'm pretty sure the trick is to unbolt the housing (after doing all the ancillary removal of hoses and such) and remove it.

If you can't get to the thermostat housing easy. You can remove the Throttle body to gain easier access. It shouldn't be too hard to get off. The back bolt is the only hidden one. Make sure you don't tear up the throttle body gasket or you will have to buy that one also.

patience and a flatwrench.....I did it last year and if I remember right, one bolt was easy and the other I had to wiggle a wrench around. You can only turn the bolt a very little bit at time. It takes a while this way but I didn't have to remove anything to get it off.

I just did mine at the beginning of summer. I had to end up pulling the throttle body off to do it properly. No big deal though. About one hour to complete.
