help i have a 1984 firbird trans am the motor in it came out of a 87 firbird 305 the carb on it is a 600 cfm edlebrock intake on it is a edlebrock performance. a friend of mine tightened the rockers on it since he did that it will not start i have losen them back up and redid the valve lash to what my chilton book said to do but still no fire im getting spark and fuel and my battery is new same with plgs and plug wires. any help onthis would be great

 

i got the valves all set and it still wouldnt start i had to redo the timming but the funny thing is where the number 7 spark plug gose on the dis well i had tto put my number one in its place and then go with the fireing order

 

Has the engien ever run with the carb and intake? Did it run before the valves were misadjusted? Are any of the valves now bent?

 

got the 305 running but ripped it out and put a 383 stroker in what was wrong was the dis was 180 out
