ok i put my notor bak in the 86 a month or so ago and have had it running but had carb issues since i was still using the cc carb w/o the ecm so i t ran rich and would load up. it would run and idle fine for 20-30 mins then start to wonder and chug and shut off and when id start it it would miss and chug til i reved it and cleared the plugs. well one day i went to start it to move the car and it would start but miss and pop and backfire and not idle like the timming was out very bad well i swapedcarbs to a non cc q-jet and pulled dizzy brought up no.1 tdc on comp stroke and put a new cap and rotor on along with plugs and wires and i went to start it and it did the same still poping and backfire well i got tired of messing with it so a few days went by and i wen to start it again and nothing just crank and crank and occasonal shotgun loud backfire...ive done everything new plugs another dizzy checked all rockers to make sure none are too tight and still nothing. its driving me nuts and its the only thing preventing me from driving this car and i need to get it running before thursday since im bringing the 82 t/a home and i need to put it where the 86 is sitting.any help r advice will be great thanks
