Doesn't sound good

I have been trying to trace down a sound for the past 2 days and I still have not found out what it is, it's a clank or a scrape sound coming from the passenger side more noticeable from underneath the car. I have checked everything I can think of (torque converter bolts, flexplate bolts, took the dust cover off, checked starter bolts, I even took the exhaust off thinking it might be hitting the body or a crossmember) nothing it's still freaking there, I have no idea what to check now. any idea's guys?

I would also like to add I don't think its the engine oil pressure is 45-50lbs at idle, and to elemanate rod knock I pulled each plug wire one by one and the sound never stoped. it sounds like its coming from the torque converter flexplate area, could a converter is broken sound like that?

That doesn't eliminate the possibility of a rod knock. The engine's still turning.

The only clank/scrape noises i've ever had to deal with was when my flexplate would scrape on the inspection cover (metal). Sounded awful. As if my engine was about to fall apart.

Re: Doesn't sound good

Hey, I think i may have the same problem as well. kind of sounds like an exhaust rattle from the transmission to engine mount area, around the flexplate. i was told it might have been a broken flexplate, but after removing the tranny it was not broken. Any advice would be helpful
