I just finished a 8 hour fuel pump job, ughh dammit took a long time to do and lots of muscle, I bought a bosch fuel pump installed it and now Im trying to start the car and the injectors are surging like bats out of hell!!! Please help ASAP!!! Im thinking theres possibly a gap of air inbetween the fuel lines making the new fuel push out all the old fuel is my theory correct? should I somehow catch the fuel coming out of the injectors? or just keep trying!!??? what should I do!!! please advise me!! you may AIM me right now if possible

 

Surging injectors??
What does that mean?
If air in the lines, open line closest to injectors, i.e.
(Shrader valve stem), using rags and no start, just
pump on. Cycle key and get air out.
Two people help. After tightening all fuel connections
and checking for leaks, Crank.

May take couple cranks but should start. If not, other problems

how do you know the injectors are "surging"

are they installed? why did you change the fuel pump in the first place? what is your FP?

 

runs great now!! I had to step on the gas in order for the injectors to stop spitting out massive amounts of fuel. my car idles correctly when I first start it up in the morning!!! this is great!
