help
Ok, im having trouble with my combo, Ive got a set of brodix IK200 heads on the way, from what ive heard the cam i chose is a little on the smal;l side for the heads and about the only intake that will work with the heads, Cam is a comp cams 08-432-8 hydraulic roller, and the intake i wanna run is a victor Jr because the heads are matched with a felpro 1206 intake gasket and the vic jr is the only one ive found the same so far. The specs on the cam i have are .510/.520 lift, 110LSA, 230-236 duration, 282-288 advertised duration, ive got the option to upgrade the cam(i work at a performance parts store LOL, im looking a 08-433-8, or 08-443-8 which step up would i benefit more from, thanks for reading please let me know ASAP

Re: help
I'm hoping that this combo is mostly for the strip not street. The 200cc heads are almost too big for 355 cubes unless it is 10-11:1 C/R and spun really fast. Tall gears will be a must with that head and intake on a 355.
For the strip only, I would use the 08-444-8 with 11:1. If I was going to try to run it some on the street I would go with the 08-433-8 and 10-10.5:1. Of course the stall converter recommended for each put behind it.
(the previous is only an OHpinion, and we know what they say about those...)

Re: help
its going to spend alot of time on the strip, buit its also going to see a little bit of street time, do you know of any other intake that isnt as big as the Vic Jr, but still uses a 1206 intake gasket, il probaly go with the 08-433-8, i talked to brodix before ordering the heads and they said the IK200's would be a good head for it and i know many people also running them. and for a set i only paid $1100 canadian, but im also going to try and street drive it, so another thing i was thinking could i run a 1.6 rocker since i havnt bought the 1.5's yet?

Re: help
yeah ive never liked the 1.6's either, comp is like 9.7:1 but im going to probaly deck the heads, and run a thinner head gasket to try and get it up to about 10.5:1, im going to be running 3.73's if i try to use my 10bolt but i will run 4.10's if i buy a 12 bolt, i seriously want to run the 08-443-8, deck the heads to get it to about 10.5:1, victor Jr, about a 3200 stall and a 750DP, what you think

You can always try a different manifold later.
