AFR Eliminators - re-torque?

Do they need to be re-tourqed after a few heat cycles or is it set and forget?

Re: AFR Eliminators - re-torque?

I don't have the eliminators, just old 195's. They used the same Fel-pro head gasket #1003. Did you use that one? The instructions that came with the head gasket recommended a retorquing after a couple heat cycles. I retorqued mine the same time I replaced the break-in shorty headers for LT's. I would retorque them if you have the means, couldn't hurt.

I can't wait to upgrade to the Eliminators, probably full CNC too....

I used the 1094 shim gasket.
.015 compressed thickness.

Re: AFR Eliminators - re-torque?

I'd check the instructions that came with the gasket. Most of the time retorqueing depends on what type of gasket is used.

Re: AFR Eliminators - re-torque?

I looked. It states retorqueing is necessary on high compression and forced induction engines. It doesn't define high compression though.
I checked 10 of my head bolts on one head. None moved. I'm going to assume that the rest are fine.
Thanks
