and does this car have posi, it doesnt look like it does, im new but not to cars. ive had a few chevys/gm cars but mostly i know my fords so im a bit green... i really like how trannys swap so easy with gm stuff, fords a pain, u need a bellhousing and all kinds a drama.
so yeah tryn to figure out how bad the gas is on this car. i havent driven it enough yet to tell

 

i had that exact car, the gas mileage sucked, thats all i know, worse than the one i got now

 

so its prolly not too good, so then what do u know about this year that might help me make it funner?faster or something along those lines?

Jack the wheels up and turn them, when one is turned if the other turns the same direction you have posi, or take the diff cover off and look. its not hard.

and im assuming you have the LG4 4BBL engine (305)

you can probably expect 12mpg.

 

With "non-aggressive" driving, about 18-20 mpg around town, 25-27 mpg highway.

Based on my personal experience when my LG4 was stock, and that of my nephew when he had an '86 Berlinetta LG4. Assuming properly tuned and maintained.

 

i dont think any s/e cars had posi right???? ouch 12mpg geuss that seems right con sidring a mustang of same year getts around that
