hi everyone,
my buddy has a real nice 97 TA ws6 with the lt1 he got off the original owner...27,000 actual miles on it. hes had it for a few years and it ran fine. now all of a sudden in the past 2 weeks or so it randomly sputters and bogs down, hard to start, and even dies sometimes, but then other times it runs fine. there is no check engine light and no codes. i suggested tune up, but im not sure if that would be it cause like i said, sometimes it runs fine. if it were a tune up i would think it would be more consistant. before we go through all that i was wondering if it could be something else. i dont really know the 4th gens too well so maybe this is a common problem or something. any input would be great. thanks!

 

hey i think 97s a little to new for us...but the common scape goat is optispark look there!

 

yeah i agree with the too new part. i dont touch those things. i figured i'd just mention it in here to see if anyone knew anything. if it were optispark, wouldnt a code come up?
