need quick help......metal clip in column
I tore down my column to install a new windshield wiper control arm/switch
(some idiot put a column from a different car into it and used a pulse/delay switch and the car is not equipped with a pulse/delay motor.....chaos ensued with the control arm functions)
well i got everything under control (except the damn wiring is driving me crazy fishing it back down through the column)
there is this V-shaped metal clip with a hook on one end of the V, popped out from somewhere around where the tumbler mechanism inserts. I didn't see how it popped out and can't figure out which way it goes back in, or what it even does.
any help would be appreciated.

Re: need quick help......metal clip in column
yup that one lol
figured it out though on my own.....freaking retarded components though...
i gave up after about 30 minutes of juggling with a flashlight, pressing in with both hands the first spring loaded plate.....trying to hold it in with my knees, and press the retaining clip over and down to hold it.......IMPOSSIBLE
gotta wait till daylight to try again
