I currently have my 400 block at an engine shop so it can be notched and the rotating assembly ordered in to make it a 434.. does anyone have any suggestions as to what heads and fuel inject setup to run... I am looking to buy next summer and only wanna spend 4 grand on the heads and fuel inject.

i've heard that the 434's eat up ring sets in a year.. so you have to re-ring each year of use.. IMO, i would have just built a 421.. its a 3.875" stroke compared to the 4" of the 434.. but thats just me..

a 434 will need a HUGE runner.. minumum CNC'd AFR 227's.. flow in the 320+cfm range.. EFI is chinese to me.. throw a super victor on it with a dominator 1050..

Re: 434 any suggestions for heads and fuel inject?

Depends on how much power you want to make and how high you will rev it.

First figure that out, Then pick a cam, Then pick the heads. Somewhere in there you should be calculating your dynamic compression so that you can still run pump gas but I assume you know that or you wouldent be asking about "what heads to get for my 434 SBC".

Fuel injection is a question best answered by asking yourself - Do I want to (Can I) tune it or do I want someone else to do it. Answer that and you should have your answer as to what kind of injection you should get.
