Is a victor jr too much for a daily driver?

I lost my car in a bad deal with a friend, so now I'm putting everything into my truck. I'm putting a carb on my 6.0(LSX). I'm not sure which intake to use. I really like the victor jr, but will it be a turd on the street? I have a 750DP, healthy cam, 3000 stall, 456 gears and a TH350. Most gear-heads around my town say the victor is way too much intake for the street and that it'll never run right on the streets. My truck will be street driven and see the strip a few times a month.

That's what I figured, but I wasn't sure. I had a victor jr on my previous 350, but it ran like **** due to bad ignition and valvetrain issues, but everyone said it was the intake I had along with my 850 demon, so I junked the motor and traded the Demon for this 750DP.

Only a Victor Jr. for the LSx engines will fit your 6.0.

Why aren't you using EFI? Tons better than going to carb, and a whole lot less expensive. LSx carb is one of those lose-lose deals.

I just have all the parts for a carb right now + the truck is setup for it(low pressure fuel system). For EFI I'd still need custom tune, harness, MAF, throttle cable setup, fuel pump, fuel rails, and other small stuff. I'm honestly considering it, but carb just seems easier for me now. + The guy that tuned that motor is hard to reach and doesn't live too close either. Atleast with a carb I can get any half decent mechanic to tune it or either learn myself. Can you explain to me why it's a lose-lose deal? You might just convince me to go EFI.
