best way to build a 377
I guess the question im really asking is which is the more determining factor in making power, bore or stroke? i have heard that a 4" bore is better because it is the best comprimise between having enough room for large valves and it is still small enough to get good fuel atomization to discourage detonation, which also means it gets better milage. so technically a 350 block with a 400 crank would be better right? does anyone believe for this reason a 377 may make the same or slightly more power than a 400 with the same parts despite the 400 having larger displacment?

It's kind of like the answer to the old question, "How can you have a million dollars investing in the stock market?"
"Start off with two million."
"Start off with two million."

377 is the biggest waste of time ever, imo. people keep wanting to do them, however. you can make more power with a 383 or 400, provided the heads/cam are the right ones for the engine.
