Oil pressure drops when hot

My 94 Camaro with the 3.4 liter loses oil pressure after it reaches operating temperature. The car was sitting a while before I got it, so I changed the oil several times and even tried letting it sit overnight with a gallon of carb cleaner in the oil pan (after draining the oil, of course). I was told this would help to dissolve any sludge sitting in the pan that might be clogging the inlet screen for the oil pump. Didn't help much. Any ideas of what I can do without replacing the oil pump? Thanks.

Re: Oil pressure drops when hot

Fixed the starting problem. As it turned out, when the engine got warm, the starter's internal components would expand/contrast and lose connection, rendering it useless. I am still having problems with the oil pressure, though. So far, everyone I've talked to seems to agree on cam bearings being the main culprit. Any ideas on how to keep the engine going safely without doing more damage before I can afford the time and money to take it off the road and rebuild the engine?
