Car wont start

I have an 89 V6 automatic and the other night I was installing a radio into the car, after a long while of having the doors open due to me running brand new speaker wires for all four speakers the battery ran down. I jumped the car off and it cranked up fine. I let it run for a little bit so i could recharge the battery. While it was running the rpm's dropped low and the service engine light came on. I turned the car off and read the trouble code, it was code 34. I then removed the code reader and the negative battery cable for five minutes to erase the code. After I put the cable back on, the car wouldn't turn over to start, the security light doesnt stay, on nor did the fan come on with key turned forward which it usually does. All other lights stay on. I tried jumping it again and nothing changed. When i placed the code reader back on the fan came on. I have already had the battery and starter checked they are good. Any help would would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long post.

Re: Car wont start

Is your alternator working? Maybe it isn't charging the battery.
