Hey guys

I am having starting issues and I am curious of something.

When you turn the key does it send a signal for crank AND a signal to fire or just one signal?

I ask because last week my ignition barrel wouldn't give me my key back (eventually did later that day) and it is loose. Now this week I am having trouble starting and it doesn't seem to matter if the engine is cold or hot.

The car cranks fine, battery is really strong, starter seems to be kicking....I am wondering if the ignition isn't sending the fire signal IF it is indeed two signals. Seems TOO coincidental that the barrel started getting loose and holding the key within days of this starting problem.

Any advice is appreciated.
