Headlight Motors
I was ordering some headlight motors through O'reilly's. But, there seems to be no difference between the driver side and passenger side, as there only one certain motor that can be ordered. So, my question is: Is there a difference between a driver side and a passenger side headlight motor?

Re: Headlight Motors
I think this belongs in the electronics forum ... but anyway ...
There are some small differences. I fixed mine about 2 years ago and can't remember what they are, but I know I had to do some different things on the drivers' side than the passengers' side. I think the MOTOR might be the same, but some of the other parts of the assembly are a little different.
Is the MOTOR actually bad, or will the headlight just not pop up (but you can still hear the motor turn) ... if so, then you just need the repair kit from Lon at TDS.

Re: Headlight Motors
Well, I didn't see a forum for my problem, so I posted it here as the Tech/General Engine forum describes. Well, I did buy the TDS kit, but that was a year ago. And I have lost some of the pieces; and the instructions look quite danting. I didn't feel like going through the hassle of pieces breaking and such. But, anyways thanks for your reply. I would still like a further detailed response please. Thank You

Re: Headlight Motors
Ok, I got another problem. My headlights won't come up, even when I pull, tug, you name it. I turn the **** counter-clockwise, I turn on the headlights. Nothing. Nobody give my grief for not doing it sooner, because they have never worked, since I bought it in 2005. And yes, i havn't drove in the dark. So, how do I get it out without lifting it up??? Thank You

Re: Headlight Motors
Since the motors spin and annoy people when the headlights are turned on, they disconnect the motors. Welcome to the third-gen firebird club.
If the ****/motor free-wheels HERE is the fix for that.
Then you have to figure out where they disconnected the motors...
