Fuel lines question...

What exactly do you call the male ends on 5/16 and 3/8 hard lines? I'm guessing -6 an and -8, but I want to be sure before I spend money to run lines to my new Carb.

Re: Fuel lines question...

It depends on how the end of the hard line is finished. 5/16" and 3/8" correspond to -5 and -6, if you're using AN fittings.

Re: Fuel lines question...

It depends on the line. If you're talking about stock carbed fuel lines, they're just barbed on the ends. If they're stock FI lines, they're some bizarre-sized Saginaw fitting.

Re: Fuel lines question...

Ehhh that sounds like fun. Yes I have the stock FI lines, I switched to carb. I took the rails off all the way to the frame of the driver's side. Right now I just have rubber hose over the fuel lines and double clamped down. I have a feed, gauge, return, and two outs screwed into my mallory 4309. Any suggestions?

Re: Fuel lines question...

I'd trim the ends of the hard lines and flare them for AN tube nuts and sleeves, then run braided hose from there.
