It depends on how the end of the hard line is finished. 5/16" and 3/8" correspond to -5 and -6, if you're using AN fittings.

I believe they are the double flare not the an design.

It depends on the line. If you're talking about stock carbed fuel lines, they're just barbed on the ends. If they're stock FI lines, they're some bizarre-sized Saginaw fitting.

Ehhh that sounds like fun. Yes I have the stock FI lines, I switched to carb. I took the rails off all the way to the frame of the driver's side. Right now I just have rubber hose over the fuel lines and double clamped down. I have a feed, gauge, return, and two outs screwed into my mallory 4309. Any suggestions?

I'd trim the ends of the hard lines and flare them for AN tube nuts and sleeves, then run braided hose from there.
