poly or stock motor mounts

I was wondering... do the poly motor mounts raise the engine up higher than stock rubber mounts? Seems like I have heard this on here somewhere before but i searched and found no answers. Need to replace my mounts, but if the polys raise up another inch over stock i'll use rubber.

No, they certainly won't raise it an inch.
If your stock rubber ones are worn out, and your engine is sagging 3/8", then the new poly ones will "raise" the engine 3/8". So will new rubber ones though.

So no, they don't change the height of the engine from *where it's supposed to be*

Also , IMO ,I would never go through the nightmare of replacing the mounts/frame pads with stock units. Poly units only for me. I did it for the first and last time hopefully with Energy Suspension (red) pads from Auto Zone for about $60.00 a set.( there supposed to last) Took my time and from start to finish about 5 hours buy myself. Buy the way, I needed two wobblers in-line through the passenger side spring to get at the hardest nut. Don't want to do that again any time soon.
