Moving ahead with rebuild and carb swap...
Alright.. So I've decided to move forward with a TPI --> Carb swap (Tennessee, no emissions check).
Along with a complete engine rebuild inckluding flat top pistons, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, and a yet undetermined cam I am considering swapping heads..
Any thoughts on these?

Here is the lowdown...
Professionally rebuilt pair of small block Chevrolet heads. Casting number is 601. These heads do have the accessory holes. Heads fit all small block Chevrolet engines, 283 - 400. If you need them drilled for steam holes for the Chevrolet 400 we will do that for you at no extra charge. Small 58 CC chambers. BEST PRICE, BEST QUALITY ON THE NET!

You'll need dished pistons to keep the compression ratio reasonable. The 2.02" valves probably aren't necessary, but won't hurt anything. With the guideplates, you'll need non-self-aligning rockers.
They say all the right things, I hope they deliver what they advertise. Good feedback score.

Definitely going to invest in hardened pushrods and new non-SA rockers.

In hindsight, this thread probably belongs in General Tech. Not sure what I was thinking putting it in the carb forum.. Anyhow, I bought these heads. I received them today. Here are some pics of the heads and roller rockers all from this E-Bay vendor..
