why do i have 2 map sensors? and weres the line go?

ok i have 2 map sensors, one on each side of the back firewall the drivers side one goes to the nipple on the back of the carb, the one on the passenger side has no line going to it and i cant find the line. someone know where it goes? its a 84 s/e 305

Sounds like you have a Baro sensor on the passenger side. It measures atmospheric pressure, and so has no line on its port but maybe a piece of foam rubber (or some remains of it). Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

What fullsizewagon said- one is a VAC sensor and has a line back to the carb/intake. The other is a BARO (atmospheric pressure) sensor with looks identical, but there is no vacuum line attached.

sweet, he was exactly right, remanants of some foam stuff on it cool well i learn every time i post on here and work on my car. theres hope for my ford butt after all, i like gm's i just dont know too much about them. you guys are a enormous help as usual thanks
