Car: 1986 caged out firebird
Engine: 454 = wheelies
Transmission: th400 stall and trans brake
Axle/Gears: 4:11 ford 9" with ladder bars
gear drive or chain!!!!!!!!
ok i am building a 454 bigblock high compression stroked and bored .060 over with a big cam here is what i need to know i have a timming chain double roller and i also heve a pete gear drive what is the best way to go gear drive or chain.......

not to sound dumb but why chain u would think the gear drive would be stronger but i will go with the chain

What good would "stronger" do when a chain is "strong" enough?

Chain. I had a gear drive in my engine for a week. Even in my race car it was very annoying.
