I have low vacuum now, and am about to buy pump for brakes... Cam and intake Q

Ok, well i am running a cam right now that makes pretty low vacuum. Like 8". It is in a street car. I drive it to work everyday and I think I am having brake issues due to the low vacuum. If I buy a pump, can I change my cam for something even more nuts since I don't need to worry about vacuum anymore? I want some good low end TQ. I make pretty good power around 350/350 TQ at the wheels. Wondering if I get a different intake and cam, could I make more...

I want to get the pump for the brakes cuz I can only assume that vacuum will go down not up with more power...

I found one that pulls 26" and only cost $150. Should I get it???

Sorry for the broad Q, but if I said all the specifics, no one would read though it all.

Thanks for any help.

here is what i would do, get the pump, see if your whole car can run w/o engine vac.. if it can go nuts

if you are looking for low end TQ for street driving i wouldnt go any bigger with the cam... might go smaller... the bigger cam will move the TQ and HP further into the RPMS

I'd just look at a vacuum can, rather than a vacuum pump. $30, and they work great from what i've heard.
But yea, bigger cam would kill your low end, if you like it now, I wouldn't change to a bigger cam.

I have a vac canister. Not enough.

I am thinking about going with a smaller cam. And changing my intake.

Going with a dual plane. Air-gap. and then getting a smaller cam to move the TQ down to where I can use it. Then drive the crap out of it till I get out of school, then toss some boost on her.
