Differences between '82-83 and '84-86 A.I.R. bypass diverter valves?

Does anybody know the difference between the '82-83 and '84-86 air injection bypass diverter valves? The '82-83 is part number 17070622(AC Delco 214-28) and the '84-86 is part number 17075122(AC Delco 214-65) They both physically look the same.

The diverter valve is a rusted up mess on my '84 T/A and I found an NOS '82-83 diverter valve for a pretty good price. I'm just wondering if I can use it? Everything I'm finding in the salvage yards has the switching valve part for the exhaust manifolds and converter ports locked up. Seems to be a pretty common problem ...
