fuel pump sending unit problem

I have had the car stored with stabil in the fuel tank for about 5 months, removed plenum and runners for powdercoating. Didn't get them back for awhile great customer service!!!! When it all went back together I have no fuel pump prime or running noise, the fuel pump was a year old with no miles on it other than up and down my drive way. the fuel guage registers above ful with the key on, with key off it sits a little under full. The thing is driving me crazy. checked for power to fuel pump by juming adal conn term g to 12 volts heard a fuel pump clunk and nothing again. replace fuel pump relay and in line fuse still o nothing just relay click when key on. Please help extremely frustrated.

Re: fuel pump sending unit problem

Could be a lot of diferent things, First what are the specs on your car? I know this sounds wierd but do you have spark to your cylinders? Some of the computer controlled cars wont send fuel if thier is no spark. After checking your fuses and relays, have you disconected the fuel line at the motor and seen if any fuel shoots out, break it open at the fuel filter and see what you have.
Good luck

COMPLETELY RUSTED SENDING UNIT AND PUMP. USE GAS LINE ANTIFREEZE TO REMOVE WATER AND ADDED STAYBIL ALL FOR STORAGE AND THE CAR WAS IN A CLIMATE CONTROLLED GARAGE WITH TWO LAYERS OF CARPET UNDER IT. mY GUESS IS WE ALL ARE GETTING RIPPED OFF BY THE GAS COMPANIES THEY MUST WATER DOWN THIER FUEL FOR MORE PROFIT, hTANK YOUR sHELL OIL COMPAMY, AND THE GREAT BP.
