383 details
i got my 383 shotblock built, and keep in mind its gonna be mild for now
i want the motor to appear and sound stock , as im gonna say its a stock 5.0 with exhaust and a filter only
anyways, heres what i got
scat nodular crank, scat rods, k.b hyp pistons
my choice of stock 350 heads ported decently, or vortecs (but id have to drill em)
im stuck on the finishing details, im keeping the stock t.p.i for the break in and tune, till i can later get a hsr or somehting
so, injectors, 24 pounders?
adjustible fpr, and what pressure?
cam, stock with 1.6, or lt1 with 1.6?
stock lifters?
(remeber im a newb on a budget and cant afford the tuning stuff yet, and cant tune anyways)
do i change the whole ecu, or just the prom (should i get one of those custom made ones or what?), because i dont want to wash the **** out of my rings, or lean burn a hole in my pistons right off the bat
any other suggestions would be baller,
im getting the long block for 2500 canadian with a 1 year warrenty btw

Why would you need to do any drilling on Vortec heads? Don't say so you can mount your current intake, because that is the road to disaster.
Fuel pressure is tuning. Start at stock, and work from there.
You need to get PROM burning equipment and do your own tuning. That's the only sane way to spend performance $'s.

He'll have old 081's, which yea, he could keep the TPI intake - if the CR isn't too high. Depends on which pistons you use.
Vortecs would be the choice, but you'd need the aftermarket intake right now
Or aftermarket wet intake and carb, which is how i'd go.

Re: 383 details
well ill prob go with an hsr, and i dont think they makem for vortec,s plus thats more money right off the bat, anyways, the reason im going god on the bottom end and mild on top, is for the tuning, money and future upgrades
i want the car to run, and not be so intimitaded with tuning that i scrap the hole car, or slap a carb on it
as said, i want the motor to apear and sound stock, if that means keeping the stock tpi and keepin itu nder 3000 rpm for a few months, w.e (although that will be neer impossible)
i dont think a 383 all hotcammed out will be the simplist thing to tune for a newby that doesnt even have the prom burning stuff yet.
so, all i have to do is mondify the 305's prom?
