fuel pump problems
i have an 85 Z28 with a 305 TPI. i think my fuel pump is bad. its an electric, in tank pump and when u turn the ignition on no sounds are made and the car wont start. i know most electric fuel pumps make a sound when the ignition is turned on. is there a fuse for the pump and if so where might it be or do i need a new pump? any suggestions?
thanks!

Re: fuel pump problems
Yes there is a fuse; I don't know offhand where it is in an 85.
There's also a relay. Between the brake booster and the fender, there are 3 relays. 2 of them are connected with the MAF; 1 is the FP relay. They are all 3 the same. Try swapping them around and see if the FP starts working. If so, go buy one and replace the bad one. I'd say that's more likely than a blown fuse, so start there.

Re: fuel pump problems
There should be a 2 wire weather pack connector mounted to the body right around the battery, unplug it and the fuel pump fuse is inside the connector.
