fuel pump removal?

are there any tips or tricks to removing a fuel tank from my car? i have to change the fuel pump and this will be my first time. any suggestions would be greatly apprecieated! i have a 85 Z28 camaro with the wonderful in tank electric fuel pump. thanks!!

Re: fuel pump removal?

Jack the rear of the car up as far as possible, remove exhaust, unbolt panhard bar and brace, shocks and sway bar end links. Unbolt brake hose bracket from body. Lower the axle as far as possible. Remove tank. Its tricky, the filler neck is rigid, and the holes it must pass through are small.
