PLEASE SOMEONE HELP

I have a 92 camaro rs with a 3.1 in it, yesterday i was driving it and out of no where i step on the clutch and it revs way up there damn near redlining it..

i'm a newbe when it comes to stuff like this, so if anyone can help please do, this car's my pride and joy i really don't wanna have somthing bad happen to it

Since the throttle is cable operated, it's hard to say. Could be sticking or you could have a bad motor mount which is making it bind. With the hood open so you can see the engine, put some load on it both forward and reverse and see if it moves.

Alright.. thanks, when i got the car it had alot of grease on the throttle body.. i'm guessing the guy who had it on there had it there for a reason?..

So it was probably sticking before. Usually it's dirty and the grease doesn't help. Buy a can of throttle body cleaner (no carb cleaner), take the bellows off, and clean all around the butterfly.

i ended up wiping down the throttle lever and put a lil grease on it.. doesn't stick anymore so i'm happy, hope it lasts, and i will go get some of that cleaner. thanks again
