Need to know what Fuel Pump to Buy

As it states, I need a fuel pump. Had all kinds of problems that everyone kept thinking was a fuel pump. Ended up being a fuel injector. Got it fixed and as my luck has it, the fuel pump quits. I put a thread out a few weeks back but with little luck. Someone mentioned a fuse under the hood, but I couldnt find one. I turn the key and no noise. Dash fuses are good. Getting a new pump but wondering which one and a good supplier. Thanks in advance. Bob

you might want to trey a voltmeter first to see if it's bad. if it is the 255lph are best, brand is up to you.

Re: Need to know what Fuel Pump to Buy

If you decide to go with one of the above mentioned 255 LPH pumps, genuine Walbro pumps are the way to go. Go to the racetronix website. They have great deals on the Walbros, and they even include a plug-n-play wiring upgrade kit for a few extra bucks that supplies better voltage over the factory setup. Type "racetronix" into the search engine here and you should be able to find a link to their site easily. It's risky buying a Walbro pump on ebay since there's a bunch of people selling a Chinese knockoff Walbro that's hard to tell from the real ones. Racetronix has pictures on their site that help you determine the real ones from the fakes.

Re: Need to know what Fuel Pump to Buy

Thanks for the help everyone. No, I havent tried powering it from the aldl. I did see that in the book though. Do I just run a wire from the battery to the connection or is there a hot to jumper to in the aldl?

And the voltmeter. Got one, but wouldnt know where to start to perform a check. Could someone please add some detail for the autoly challenged!
