3000rpm shake
I changed from an auto to a T-5 a couple of months ago and everything has been fine until about a week ago.
Now it seems that I have an rpm associated vibration/shake/shudder/quiver at about 3K.
It seems to be getting worse, though it doesn't do it all the time.
Any ideas what it might be?

redliterunner,
Check to see if your u-joints are not cracked or possibly need to be tightened. Check to make sure your trans is lined up properly with the rear end which could cause the vibration to come from your drive shaft. If thats the case I'd have a drive shaft shop take a look at it. But first is first check your u-joints and check your rear end fluid for any metal shavings.

Re: 3000rpm shake
It does it at around 3K in every gear, so I've pretty much discounted everything from the tranny output shaft back. The U-joints are good, and tight. The rear axle and tranny are completely fresh.
The trans is mounted in the crossmember with a poly mount, which should keep things pretty much aligned, although I will re-check alignment this weekend. The crossmember mounting holes are slotted which could allow for some misalignment.
My mind is on the flywheel and pressure plate. I'd be amazed if either of these had loosened up and moved around, but it seems the most likely condition.

redliterunner,
So did you find the culprit? Post what you found so we can see what happened.
