Parking brake cable to frame mount

I dropped my rear to pull the tank and cannot figure out how to disconnect the parking brake cable from the frame as its rusted to hell, and I dont want to break it...

Re: Parking brake cable to frame mount

well if its rusted to hell, you will probably break it.

the retaining clips push though the cable mount bracket, there are, i think 3, little spring tabs that need to be pushed in to allow the retainer to slip back through the mount, usually you can push in one at a time with a screwdriver and work it out that way, or ive used a zip-tie a few times and they work pretty well too.

Or there's a nifty little tool available at most auto parts stores.
